Problems with retentivity

guillermo.blasco Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Hi everyone, I have a problem with retentivity in my 224 PLC. I have a simple program and work with several Marks in the M memory area. I use MB0 and MB1. The thing is when I shut down the PLC and run again, it mantains the state from before, and I DON'T want that to happen. I've checked the 'retentive ranges' in 'System Block' and I'm using the default configuration, which apparently should not allow retention for bytes 0 and 1 in M area. The configuration is: Range Data Area Offset #Elements Range 0: VB 0 8192 Range 1: VB 0 0 Range 2: T 0 32 Range 3: T 64 32 Range 4: C 0 256 Range 5: MB 14 18 I understand only bytes from 14 to 18 are retentive in M memory. But I'm using 0 and 1. Can anybody please help me with this? Thank you in advance! Guillermo

Yes, reseting the marks with SM0.1 actually works, but I don't think it's very practical to reset all the memory I will be using in the program. I guess there has to be some kind of configuration mistake I'm making which leads to the retention of the state, but I couldn't find it yet.

SASS@Chennai Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hi I am also facing the same problem with a slightly different scenario. The M bit is retaining the state even after doing a download from Step 7 micro win. And just like yours, I used default retentive ranges, removed all retentive ranges and so on. But the M Bit retains the state after a program download. Did you get a solution to this ?
