New Faceplate Instance Size...

davkav Posts: 42 Rating: (1)	When I drop a New Faceplate Instance onto my screen the size/scale of what I created is all wrong. Say for instance I created a Valve Faceplate type with size 100x100 (HxW) I close the Faceplate type and open my screen where I would like my Valve to be. I click Faceplate instance from the object palette and drop a new Valve instance on the screen. Its Geometry is now 50x50 (HxW) Even if I set the size within the Valve Faceplate type to 200x200 it still scales itself to 50x50 when It is dropped on screen. Anyone have any idea as to how to lock the scale so it comes up on my picture as the drawn scale. Thanks Dave

davkav Posts: 42 Rating: (1)	I understand that I can scale it after I drop it on to my screen. But surely the scale shouldnt change when it is dropped as it defeats the purpose of defining the correct size when you originally design you faceplate type. The idea behind what Im doing is that im making up a small package for my fellow engineers so that all the device symbols, faceplates etc. are ready to work with 'out of the box'. So when they drop a faceplate type onto the screen all they need to do is tag it up. Edit: Ok so I've got the Faceplate instance to keep the scale. If you right click on the faceplate instance object in the object palette and set the scaling mode to 1:1 it pulls the defined scale from the the faceplate type. This still leaves the user to drag the viewable area so that the full of the symbol can be seen but its a start.
