How to enable or disable Windows keys for certain user?

Donehill Posts: 64 Rating: (0)	Hi All, I need to allow certain users to access the server's desktop at the same time some users are not suppose to access desktop. By disabling the keys in WinCC explorer, all users wouldnt be able to access the desktop. How can I allow certain user access desktop without exiting runtime? Thanks

If it is matter of storing files you can program buttons in WinCC (with proper user rights) to enable read/write of files. See following thread: Editing/Saving example.txt file from WINCC The other option is to change the computer properties using scripts, but I am not sure this is possible. Regards

CBo Gold Member Joined: 4/5/2006 Last visit: 7/30/2025 Posts: 917 Rating: (63)	Hi Donehill , in addition what Phantom75said, you can program button with "high users right" just to call application like Explorer, Task Manager and other just using "Progamexecute" function. Only user with "high user right" can access to external application and Desktop in this way (without disable WinCC system hot key) Regards
