how i can know the conversion between the analog value and the digits unipolair:

Dear Sir i have a sensor with 4-20 ma output. i need to monitor the values of the sensor on my HMI (TP177). what i do is i make scale :4-20 ma to 0-20 ma (EM231 support 0-20ma) by using this formula: Y=(125*X)-500, where X is theinterval(4-20 ma) and the Y is the interval(0-20ma). then as i understand that the conversion of the analog inputs will be in the register AWI. i use the following formulas :(Z-4)/(20-4)=(T-6400)/(32000-6400). tomake conversion between analog and digital whereZ is the amps values, (between 4 and 20 ma) and the Tis the digital values. i combine the 2 formulas to get the conversion between the analog(4-20 ma)and the correspondat in digital. so i get the following formula : k=[(8*100000)+u]/(2*100000). Where k is the analog values between 4 and 20 ma and u is thedigitalvalue. What i need to know , iswhat i do is correct? and how i can monitor the k values? which instructions i should use the calculate the k values for every u? i usereal or integervariables??? and what means * before the constantor the variable.
