I have a school project for making hmi panel using s7-200 and my subject is to run automattion house control the lighting usiang hmi on/off lights at the house. which simple panel i can use? and what software needed? and its easy to program the hmi? please give some information regarding my hmi case. thank you. jonjon13

You don't need extra software. Like configuration tool this series use "Text display wizard of STEP 7 Micro/WIN". ... Best regards, Hristo Mihalev

Yes for your case, you need to install WinCC Flexible, but it depends too on the type of the panel you will use (Stanard, Advaced, etc...). Once you install the software you can refer to the help, beginners chapter. Have luck. Tomy.

There are some wizards in MicroWin that will configure the Text Display. Here is a link to manual: S7-200 SIMATIC Text Display (TD) User Manual But when you want to use another HMI panel, like TP177micro, you will have to use WinCC flexible. And it depends on which panel you want to use, what version of WinCC flexible you need. Pay attention: There are some starterpackages including panel and software. Best regards, Wizard

Anyway, no you can't make button icon in these TD panels. Just to show messages on the screen. For example " LIGHTS ON" or "LIGHTS OFF", even you could prepare longer messages. And to control these acts by using internal functions keys...(Look at Wizard' link. It'll be helpful in configuring of the panels.) Marry Christmas! Best regards, Hristo Mihalev
