I 'm using an Ethernet CPU and I have connected it to ethernet via CP343-1 (6KG7-343-1EX11-OXOE v2.0) .The CPU and the CP are connected with different IP adress and of course CP is connected via backplane to MPI.....I'm using a scada system WinCC Flexible RT and in the HW config Slot1 I've placed HMI IE with different IP adress ... When is on runtime everything is ok and I canmonitor or modify everytag via ethernet. I would like to ask you if is possible to Upload a Web Page and have control from a remote PC using internet...I tried to set Smart Service , Smart Access, but when i set the IP adress that i had set in WinCC Flex RT no page exists !!!?? Is this possible ori made something wrong.... Should i have all the Firewalls deactivated??? What else can i do? Can i work from remote PC while Runtime still works there?? Thanks in advance...

So normally its not possible to access this address from internet. You need router for this at least. It is not so convenient to use router so I allways use VPN. Now its very good to use OpenVPN. lots of routers (professional) support this and it is available Windows as client or server. So I use that way to access my systems from internet. If you need to configure access to your system from any computer on the internet and you don't want to think about any VPN software then your choice must be router. Scalance router is also good for this purpose.

Static IP is good for router. Then everytime you can connect to your equipment with the same address. But never expose your industrial hardware to the internet with static IP.
