I want to use a serial printer with a TP270 unit for alarm logging. I have done this with TP177B and OP17 units before however TP270 has no IF2 interface, just the USB one. Can I use an USB to RS232 converter?. What about WinCE drivers for it?

Thanks for your reply. I will verify the model but I am sure it does not have the IF2 interface and IF1 is in use by PLC.

On models OP17 and TP177B I use IF2 interface and serial printing to send alarm data to a computer's serial port for data logging and further alarm data analysis.

As I wrote TP270 have the USB port only but I read somewhere that IF2 is optional. Currently I can print to an USB printer however I can not get the alarm data to the computer. Do you think it will be possible to add IF2 to the unit?. What about using the USB to RS232 converter with Win CE driver?.
