IC-MPE Posts: 25 Rating: (0)	Hello Im makeing some SCL code where i must use SFC1 to get the time of day. The Date and Time format is put into 8 bytes. Now my problem is i wanna convert these bytes to a integers for calculation later on. If we take a look on my hour value which is put into TheTime.Hour (byte) this value i the convert with "BYTE_TO_INT" to ActHour (INT). the clock is 12:37 at the moment. TheTime.Hour is equal to B#16#12 ActHour is equal to 18 The byte value is 12 and the integer value is 18. How can i get the right integer value? And its the same problem for all the bytes with a value higher than B#16#10. If anyone could help i would be glad ;)

B#16#10 = 16 B#16#11 = 17 B#16#06 = 6

IC-MPE Posts: 25 Rating: (0)	Thx for your fast reply I am aware ofits hex, but i was wondering if there was any smart way to convert the Byte value to integer and then get the"correct" value as whenyou read the clock. I want ActHour (integer) = 13 ActMinute (integer) = 43 When the clock is 13:43

I takethe liberty of finishing this offfor you and am reasonably confident in assuming the following: You "discovered" that SFC1 delivers all values in BCD format and added"BCD_TO_INT" conversion statements to yourSCL code. I hope this helps everyone else out there.

Theformula with descriptionis given below and it is working fine, ____________________________________________________________________________________ This formula has been made to avoid the error while using "BCD_I" standerd conversion. Using "BCD_I" standard block: If the input value is not supported by decimal format such as 0A,OB,OC,OD,OE,OF(the hex value contains alphabets), Then the convertion will give "invalid_input" and at the same time it will increase the CPU scan cycle, which can cause CPU to STOP mode.
