Internal variable to know if there is communication between TP and PLC

Javier_dP Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	Hello, I've got made a project with WinCC flexible 2007. It's integrated in Step7 and there's a TP connected to a PLC S400 thorugh ethernet. I would like to do some things if the communication has lost between the TP and the PLC. Does anybody know if there's any internal variable in WinCC flexible to indicate a communication failure? Thanks.

Evaluating the flashing rating rate of PLC, it can change the color of an object whereas there's communication, and evaluating the system time of the CPU, I had to wait one minute to know the communication failure. What i want to do is the following: I would like to change the colour of the valves and motors when there is not communication between the TP and the PLC, but I need to know the failure in only some seconds and no in one minute like in the task scheduler. I've thought to increment a variable in the PLC continously, for example every 15 s, and compare the values. But to do this I have to execute and script every 15 s and I don't how to do that. The configuration of the tasks is possible only every minute.
