IAE in 928B

lambertws Posts: 58 Rating: (0)	I read in the 135U list of operation that IAE only operable in CPU948. However, it is used a lot in the CPU 928B that I am handling. Does it work actually? I only got the program, so I cannot make an experiment with it. If it works, how does it work, I cannot find enough information about it. Does it disable the addressing errors until meet the RAE, or disable them locally (only in one block or only in one network)? I am going to convert it to S7 and is it okay if I convert it to SFC40 and 41? Thanks, Lambert

I can't unfortunately tell youhow it behaves if it tries to execute a Block that has the IAE command init (I never tried this for somewhat obvious reasons). I would expect that it will cause a so called Operation code error and call OB29, butwith IAE being a system command it may perhaps also simplyignore it (e.g. treat it as a NULL operation). Perhaps other forum users have tried this and know for sure and cantell you. Just in caseyour program is actually from a 948 CPU, the IAEcommand will disable addressing errors (and OB25 calls)until such time that an RAE command is executed. I hope this helps
