Update Hardware Catalog

PCS7-lerin Advanced Member Joined: 7/30/2009 Last visit: 12/22/2025 Posts: 24 Rating: (5)	If you update the HW Catalog with the Step7-Function "Update HW-Catalog", you update only the Standard Catalog, not the PCS7 Catalog. It is not possible to update the PCS7 HW Catalog. But you can install a HSP (Hardware Support Package) to get more released Hardware for you PCS7 Hardware Catalog. More Info: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/de/21148499 Get the HSP for PCS7 V6.0: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/21729446 If the module you want to use is still not included after install the HSP, I think you should project the predecessor type of the module. If you stillwant to update the standart catalog please read the following faq. Victor Tech Experienced Member Joined: 12/24/2007 Last visit: 10/31/2025 Posts: 26 Rating: (0)	I am using PCS7 6.0 SP2 HF1, I would like to add the module 6ES7-153-2BA02-0XB0 or 6ES7 153-2BA01. After I copy from disk to the HSP, it does not show up in the list as availble to install. I suspect it is because it is for step 7 5.4, I have installed 5.3 SP2 HF7. If i understand correctly: So in this caseI would configure the predecessor (2BA00) in the HW config?

I had the same problem i had a damaged S7400 CP card which had to be replaced with new version and on PCS7 V6.0 I did the same procedure and it is working well Well only problem is that you will not be able to use the advance feature if the present system but it will have all the older features in it. have fun
