Full motor protection in multi motor application

Hi Shaalan, you can use a UVR (under voltage relay), which protects the circuit from under voltage and over voltage (user can set the settings in it) similarly use ELR (earth leakage relay), to protect the circuits from Earth leakage. Your power input to VFD should come after checking both these protection. Then, use a Motor Circuit Breaker (select 130% of VFD rating) as input power to VFD. wachacz Posts: 24 Rating: (0)	firs of all, I guess it is parallel connection. - undervoltage and overvoltage protection is in drive. - overcurrent protection has to be made separatly using overcurrent protection for each motor (3RV is simplest solution) - earth leakage is partly made by drive, to full leakage protection you have to use earth leakage monitoring units (bender for example) but I guess drive can manage to protect earth leakage in few (ten or less)motor aplication. which drive it is? 420? 440 ? parallel, I've seen now.
