'Control Timeout' for Control command

kee Posts: 93 Rating: (4)	Hi, I'm working on a project that required 5sec Timeout, if the command (BO) was not send to the IEDs, which tells that the IED is not accepting or error while writing. My current workaround is using For/Next loop to delay the time, then get the BI (feedback status of that BO) to check a 'change of state', to determine the timeout. Things dont go what I want, cos while inside the For/Next loop, other control command in the same screen is not functional. please advise a better way to work on it. kee

Nemo Posts: 3149 Rating: (172)	Hi, I think loops and wait-functions are a little bit dangerous within WinCC. Why don´t you start a Timer on your S7-CPU??? Start this timer and then check, whether the time already has elapsed? nemo
