Symbol table 'does not exist'

Jeebs Posts: 218 Rating: (28)	Hi, Ran into a slight problem. Have an existing project. Added a station, wrote program, added symbol table, the works. Added an integrated HMI using WinCC Flex 2008. Now I can connect the HMI and the PLC, can get symbols in the HMI when selecting tags. BUT I lost my symbols in STL-editor. When I do View > Display with > Symbol representation, it gives me following error: No symbols can be displayed because the S7 program does not have a symbol table. How does on fix this issue? Deleted the symbol table. Created a new one. Imported one. Removed the HMI. Reorganized. Still getting the same error.

I must say first, it is very strange; a few monts ago i was having some strage issues with one project, those problems do not was the same like yours, but what i did was: 1. Make a copy of the project by means of "Save as with reorganization Slow". 2. After that Go to the project tree, then select the project folder, right click on it, select object properties, and thed "Required Software" tab, and finally Select "Execute". It helps me to repair some characteristics of my project that were lost(P-Diag messages). Maybe it can repair your project too (I hope so), good luck and have a nice day .

Aret Posts: 2348 Rating: (265)	If asving with reorganization doesn't help - you can always use support request. As i understand the problem is in internal step7 project structure. Giving this project to guys in surroprt request will have 2 followups - 1) With very high probability they would fix your problem 2) They would have another bug - and with some probability they would fix it.
