malfunctioning of plc

Rajput Posts: 10 Rating: (1)	hello, i m using s7300 plc . is there any possibility of malfunctioning by plc .actaully i m facing many problems with it like there is no input but it is giving corresponding output . so plz suggest me how to troubleshoot .

Since your description of the problems is very sketchy, the best thing I can suggest at this time is to read the chapter on Diagnostics from the following manual (Programming with Step 7 v. 5.4): http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/18652056 It is quite complete, and will give you many hints on troubleshooting the PLC. Of course, the rest of the manual could be of help too, it covers hardware configuration and programming issues that could help you out. Once you have an idea on how to check the hardware and software issues on your CPU, come back to the forum with more details on your problem. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier
