Hello nbk I wonder what type/model of encoder you use (absolute singleturn,multiturn, linear, incremental ...)and how it is connected to the PLC (Counter card, SSI, Profibus ....). Let's assume for example it is "only" a16 bit absolute encoderconnected via Profibus. In this case DB44.DBW58 (PIW 414) would contain the positionvalue and DB44.DBX57.0 could have any meaning that the encoder manufacturer decided on (e.g. encoder error, configurable software limit reached etc. etc.). I suggest you try to get hold of the manual forthe encoder to determine exactly what DB44.DBX57.0 really means. I hope this helps |
