Open a Protool project on WinCC Flexible 2005

I need to upgrade a OP7 to OP77B project but the only file wich the clients has is the .psr but when I open the WinCC Flexible it only accpets .pdb files. I do not have any version of the Protool, what alternatives do I have? Thanks in advance again! Regards, Georgii

Unfortunately this backup with extension psr isn\t possible to be edit. So, isn't possible to be opened with WinCC Flex. You must build new project for OP77. Best regards, Hristo Mihalev

Look at How can you make a project backup from an operator panel? . To be honest there has one tool - decoder, which will aloow you to understand more details from this psr file. And then to use this info to build new project. Try to find it in Google. Best regards, Hristo Mihalev

R. Georgii Posts: 12 Rating: (0)	Hello, I really got scared now... I have bought the OP77B to upgrade the old OP7... I do know that my .psr file can not be edited... So I would like to know if I can connect a Protool direct to the OP7 and get the project. A .pdb file. When get this I would be able to open it on the WinCC Flexible to upgrade this project to a version that OP77B accepts, wouldn't I? Thanks for all, Georgii

Look at How do you back transfer the projects of an operator panel and what should you watch out for? With Protool you can only build new project for OP7 and transfer it to the panel using RS232" cable. Only with Prosave you can take existing project from OP7 (not editable). You need to build new project using information from OP7. Attach here prosave backup and I'll give you details about connection and tags... This is the best what you can take from existing situation.
