s7 200 communication problem

FredMM Posts: 14 Rating: (0)	Hello, Yes it is possible. I have a system working that way. A supervisory PC (WinCC) connect via MPI to a S7-226. If i am not mistaken, Port 0 of a 226 can achieve 187.5Kb Baudrate.Unfortunately, you need first to gain access to the PLC (Via PPI ) due to the fact that its factory settingsapplya 9.6Kb in the Ports. Then you need to change the Baudrate to 187.5Kb and you can connect to the S7-200. As i saidearlier, i am not sure about the Port (0 or1). But you can find additional information on the users manual of the PLC. Also i think that it only works for PLCs S7-22x. But it is possible! If you are looking for an easy answer i would have to agree with Greg. Quick and easy to use a PPI/USB cable. (much better that the rs232 that i amdesperatingover Vista!). Cheers, Fred
