Is it possible to use 12pcs (or more than 3) of 16xDI NAMUR 7TH00 cards in ET200M? Simatic selection tool says it is not, HW Config has no problem?

andrej5 Posts: 26 Rating: (0)	I try to make an offer for customer and I want to use there ET200M with NAMUR 321-7TH-0AB0 DI cards, but when I try to insert fourth card, SIMATIC Selection Tool says: "You cannot insert this module, otherwise the parameter quantity of 70 would be exceeded" I think, it is somehow connected with "Parameter/station" Bytes, which are 234Bytes long from 244 total. What does those "parameters/station" mean, and why can I insert those modules in Step7 HW Config without problems? Attachment et200m.JPG (249 Downloads)

dchartier Grandmaster-Expert Joined: 9/27/2006 Last visit: 1/21/2026 Posts: 12481 Rating: (2722)	Hello andrej; I have not worked with this type of module, but in my experience the HWConfig editor is generally considered the better judge of configuration problems with Siemens equipment. Sometimes the configurators can provide information that is not always up to date. I would suggest you bring this to the attention of Siemens' support staff, they would be the ones tovalidate if there are parameter limitations on the Namur input modules. To contact them, open a Support request (there is a link at the top right of this webpage, under Contacts) and fill in the application. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier
