tp1177 micor OS update not working

picengineer123 Posts: 95 Rating: (0)	Hello I am trying to update the OS of a tp177 micro. Using winccflex 2007 or standalone prosave same thing happens. The window says to reboot the device (which is off during the starting of the os update process). The panel starts booting and then just stops and the update doesn't seem to progress. Prosave says to reboot device and doesn't show progress either. I have tried both baud rates with my serial PPI cable. I can do a backup so I know comms work. any ideas?

The restore to factory box is not available(frayed out). Hi, I guess that the option 'Reset to factory settings' is selected, although it is grayed out. Please put panel in transfer mode 'Connecting to host', then start OS update. When it ask to boot the panel, Power off and on again. Best regards, Wizard

Mikesidir Posts: 18 Rating: (1)	Old question but it may trouble some people still... I had the same problem with this panel for a long time. I guess picengineer123 was using the RS232/PPI at that time. So, while you can transfer your project to the panel without taking into consideration the 3 first dip switches for the connection speed (I was able to download at 115.2 with my switches put to 9.6 ) you have to put them at the EXACT configuration you need to for OS update... (in my case for 115.2)
