OP77B stays in transfer mode

Rosegarden Posts: 63 Rating: (0)	Hello, I'm trying to update a OP77B panel with new software this isn't possible. The OP stays in Transfer mode and de PG doens't build up the connection, I have set the interface to MPI, set the interface channel 2 on MPI/Profibus assigned a number and transferrate (same as in interfacfeon PG).Then I put the OP in transfer modeand try to transfer the project from PG to OP. This isn;t possible, the OP stays in transfermode and the PG keeps searching the OP. Ihave flashed such a panel in the past before but never encounter this problem with updating the the software. regards, Remo

Perhaps these links might help: how can you transfer a WinCC flexible project via MPI/PROFIBUS to a Windows-based panel? What transfer options are available in the various operator panels? Rosegarden Posts: 63 Rating: (0)	Hello Wizard, thanx for the feedback. I'm using a standard Siemens MPI cable (6ES7901-0BF00-0AA0) , which I connect directly to the OP. I do not can any message but the PG doens't connect in anyway, the connection interface just stays active and after a while (couple minutes)there is a message the say's to check the connection. I already used two different cables but with the same result. Is therea possibility to reset the OP to factory default? I shut off 24VDC powersupplybut withsame results. I have to define interface 1 as serial an connect it to the PG. There I have to define the RS232 interface. I will try, get to you later. Regards.

You can use Prosave, there it should be possible to choose OP77B. Best regards, Wizard

Rosegarden Posts: 63 Rating: (0)	Wizard, I managed to load the OS via Prosave. I had to update Prosave cos the OP77B wasn't in the list. Within Prosave it's only possible to update the OS, en make en restore from the whole project if it's was backupd in Prossave as well. I wasn't aware of the use of Prosave, now I know how it works. The connection via MPI or Profibus directly or via the Profibusnetwork where the OP is attachted to, wasn't possible. I had todownload the project via serial (zero modem cable and PGset toUSS protocol) to the first interface of the OP. This was going very well but why the MPI/Profibus interface wasn't working isnot clear. When I loaded the project via serialand attached theOP to the Profibus network the OP was able to build up connection to the PLC. Jsut to be clear, it is possible to test the project via the RunTime Simulator right? This is also not clear to me because when the OP the attached to the Profibusnetworkthere seems to be not connection in RTSimulation. Variables are all displayed as ###. Thanks allfor all the help, I appreciatedthis very much !
