My current HW config consists of the following slot 1/2 CPU 317-2PN/DP model 317-2EK14-0AB0 firware v3.1 slot 4 DI32xDC24V model 321-1BL00-0AB0 slot 5 AI8x13Bit model 331-1KF02-0AB0 (HSP 2067) slot 6 AO4x12Bit model 332-5HD01-0AB0 HW Config Sofware version V5.4 + SP5 + HF1 K5.4.5.1 After uploading the hardware config file to the CPU the online monitoring shows the AI card as available and o.k. There are no issues in the diagnostics. When i monitor the values on the AI card all channels read as overflow (7FFF). On page 307 of the S7-300 module data manual it states that "The spare parts of the SM 331-1KF02 are compatiable with the SM 331-1KF01 and are configured with HSP 2067. HSP 2067 can be installed for Step7 v5.4, SP5 and higher and is included for Step7 v5.4, SP6 and higher" So i swapped out the 1KF02 for a 1KF01 in the HW config and it works no problems. According to the Module data manual my HW config version should work with this module. Ideally i would like to have 1KF02 in my HW config so that it matches the hardware used. Does anyone know any potential solutions? Cheers MattS

Hello,
It should works.

Spare part replacement:
The new module will replace the module below and is spare part compatible. This means that a module with order no. -1KF01- can simply be replaced by the new module with order no. -1KF02- without having to change the configuration or the wiring.

Predecessor module New module
6ES7 331-1KF01-0AB0 6ES7 331-1KF02-0AB0

Isn't possible to download it there new hardware configuration?

Jazz_M Posts: 1121 Rating: (86)	Hi well i had the similar problem when i connected a 4 wire to 1KF 02 card, It used to read 16#8000 only when increase the mA above say 10mA it used to vary a little. Then later i found that the wiring for the 1KF01 and 1KF02 are little diffrent. the "M" negative of the 24 V is to be looped at all the points in the card and given to electronic earth. and the signal cable has to be earthed properly at the field side. After i did that my problem got solved. Have fun..
