Data blocks are intended to store data.So, if the initial values are all zero, simply by processing the logic all values will alter from the initial values. regards

Have fun.. Hmmm... my opinion is, that this only happens if you init the DB via Editor before, not if you just do the download.

Jazz_M Posts: 1121 Rating: (86)	Hi IBN I once tried it site, and all the value that were in the DB went for a toss i tried to download it from the DB. I think even if you download the entire project it will get to intial value or the only the db. had a hell of a time in that project.

hdhosseini Diamond Expert Joined: 1/28/2009 Last visit: 1/5/2026 Posts: 6892 Rating: (1368)	Hi Cells in a datablock can be considered as 1- The read only cells in which, you only read the data.These are possibly the constant or some scientific coeficient which is used in calculation.They are initialized and the values be unchanged for a long time. 2-The other cells, the CPU can write in them and they may change simply after you downlad the project.It is always a matter of problem.In process with adaptive parameters or process with lots of modification of setpoints and controllers' parameters, it is recommended to update the finalized DB values after finishing commissioning or before downloading the raw and original program.This is an important fact "The machine or process stabilized by the Values of datablock inside the CPU". Also check the following post: Datablock backup fritz a couple of suggestion from my side to automatethe backup of onlineDB's are: 1.) Buy Versiondog (http://www.versiondog.com) or similar program. 2.) Build your own with the help of the command interface, have a look too at THIS and THIS forum post concenring it. Regards
