How can I get milliseconds in integer from a date_and_time data type?
Is the following correct? Does it need shift to the right by 4 digits?I tried various stuff but I get negative signs.

Instructions for reading out the date and time with SFC1 (READ_CLK)
With system function SFC1 (READ_CLK) you read out the time in the CPU. At the output parameter "CDT" of system function SFC1 you receive the date and time in the format "DATE_AND_TIME". With the data type "DATE_AND_TIME" the date and time are stored in the BCD format in 8 bytes. This data type covers the range:

• DT#1990-1-1-0:0:0.0 to DT#2089-12-31-23:59:59.999

The table below gives the example of Thursday, August 5, 04, 08:05 hours and 5.25 seconds. The table shows the contents of the bytes that contain date and time data.

Thank you hdhosseini! Sorry for not being clear on my first post, but my question concerns the conversion of milliseconds from BCD to an integer after getting the date_and_time from the SFC1.

The milliseconds are on BCD format. Therefore they must be converted to an integer using the BCD_TO_INT function(I am using SCL).
However, the reading the BCD format bits from 15-12 have the sign, bits 11-8 have the 100, bits 7-4 have the 10 and bits 3-0 have the 1.
The word supplied for milliseconds after the AND_WORD has the following format XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-0000, where X can be either 0 or 1.
Since milliseconds are definetely positive the required format wouldn't itbe like this:
0000-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX ?
Do I need to shift right the word by 4 bits before applying the BCD_TO_INT to get an integer?
