PCS7-Charts not getting copied from one project to another,SFB4,SFB5 error

Error:Not possible to copy SFB5 Not possible to copy SFB4. How do i copy the charts? Hi Mayank, Can you check out wheather - 1. These blocks already exists in your target program? 2. The target CPU has support these blocks? Or else these blocks are the IEC timer blocks and may not support the renaming or overwriting as we do normally with standard FC or FB. So just try with deleting existing SFB and then copy the relevant charts. As per picture attached it shows unable to copy because of DUPLICATion. Best Regards,

Mayank_Thakkar Posts: 15 Rating: (0)	Thank you aLL, I followed the following steps: 1.First i deleted SFB4 ,SFB5 from "Block folder"(Target project) and then copied the chart from source to target project-I got the same error cannot copy SFB5. The problem didnt solved. This didnt worked because after deleting SFB4,SFB5 (Target proj) also i could find these blocks in CHART folder of theTarget project. 2. Then I had to delete the used SFb5 and SFb4 (IEC_Delay blocks) from source Charts and copied in to the target project. It got copied. Kindly update me if anyone has better soln than this. Copy the entire program from refernce CFC to new CFC. But i think you will lose any connections that were made to other charts or to input/output. Have, fun...

Kris C Posts: 55 Rating: (4)	I haven't got a chance to look at Version 7.0 but in version 6.1 there is a function in CFC chart program. 1.Delete old blocksfrom block folder. 2. Open CFC chart 3.Go to Options file menu and select Block Types 4. There you will see a block clean up button 5. Once you press the button it will give you a list of blocks, look for your SFB's and select both of them. 6. Then there should be a remove button of some sort. This will clean up any reference to CFC blocks. Then you should be able to copy your new SFB's that are required.
