I tried to define and call function in script. But it showed some syntax error. I have attached the screenshot for your reference.

I´m not sure if my answer is the right way but if you create new script one of the general property is Type. That one you can change from Sub to Function.

It should be your problem but I haven´t used that yet.

Please, write here if it will be OK.
