to read data from winccflexible with excel

automation_1 Posts: 133 Rating: (2)	I would like to know if wincc flexible on HMI (or runtime on PC) is able to save some production/failure data and if it is possible to get these data with a microsoft software (ie. excel) on a(or more then one)pc connected via lan? Thenis it possible to have some macro in excel to elaborate these data? what limitations do i have?

aikona Posts: 487 Rating: (36)	Hi On most HMI's you can setup a historical datalog or alarmlog .The data log is a csv file .For datalogging you have to 'fill' in the right parameters in your tags. this file can then be opened with excel. on 'more advanced 'HMI's and for winccflex runtime on PC you can also send this data to a database which can also be opened with excel.
