Hello, You can keep the local time away from that function. One Shift = 8 hours = 480 minutes. And you can make something like a stopwatch. When the shift starts, reset the counter, and every one minute it will count up until the end of shift it will reach to 480. You can also program a bit or message to tell the operators that the shift has been ended. Operators of the next shift should reset the counter before start working to enable the counter to begin counting again.

You can compare the System(PLC) Hours, Minutes and Seconds with your desired Hours,Minutes and Seconds in your program to start counting the production Pulses and reset the counter at the desired Hours,Minutes and Seconds. All you need to do is, read the System (PLC) time and extract their Hours , Minutes and Seconds Values , which you have seen in earlier posts
