the following example can be used as copy-paste just for PC runtime and not for panels due to some differences related to the object code between XP and CE.

if you need the IP address ONLY and store it as tag, the easier solution you can use is the following one where the following tags has to be declared:

pingo_IP as string if you want just display the address as string in an output field
IP_1 to IP_4 as int if you want to manage and compare these numbers..
