Is Shared DB in Retainable Memory

SadiqAsgher Posts: 31 Rating: (2)	Dear Experts, I have stuck in a place that i am to retain some of my data that is used in some calculation . What I need to know, is Shared DB a Retainable memory or not and can I update its values directly from HMI. In addition, if I turn off my PLC, will it retain the values in DB. SadiqAsgher Posts: 31 Rating: (2)	Dear Hristo, Actually I have all the DBs in offline mode what I need is to caliberate the load cell and I am to retain the Dead load value for the Load Cells. So whenever load cell initailizes I have to subtract the dead load value from its current value to get the actual value. So will it retain my value once I stored in the DB, after turning on my PLC. Hello SadiqAsgher Theshort answers are: "Yes, DB's are retentive by default even after power off" for s7-300 and 400 PLC's (this behaviour can be changed though) and "Yes, you can update their values directly from a HMI".
