WinCC Flexible 2007 MsgBox Function

lgabriel Posts: 9 Rating: (1)	Created HMI screens using WinCC Flexible 2007 for MP277 Touch Screen. I want to display a YES/NO/CANCEL message box (MsgBox inside a script) when a RESET button is pressed on the screen. I tried the following script, called when clicking the Reset screen button: Dim Response Response = MsgBox("Reset?", vbYesNoCancel, "Counter Reset") If Response = 1 Then CYCLENO =0 End If This does not work and the function MSGBOX appears underlined with a squiggly blue line. Is the MsgBox function not available or am I doing something wrong. I always like to prompt the user the usual "Are You Sure" when resetting counters. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The Body Posts: 836 Rating: (71)	A message box is not available at WinCC flexible (see also 7. of this FAQ): http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/26165877 On a PC RT, you have the possibility to create a workaround, by using the popup methode. Unfortunately, a Win CE panel doesn't support this. So, you have to do your own msgbox by using standard objects and/or faceplates.

This was my solution: Dim WSHShell, MsgPrimary Set WSHShell = CreateObject("Wscript.Shell") MsgPrimary = WSHShell.Popup("Do you wish to E-Mail current time/date?", 7, "Question", 3 + 32) MsgValue = MsgPrimary If MsgValue = 6 Then SendEMail Address, Subject, MessageDate & " " & MessageTime & " " & Message & " ", False SendEMail TextPhone, Subject, MessageDate & " " & MessageTime & " " & Message & " ", False End If so on and so forth. if you google wshshell.popup you will find how to configure the message. The result of the pop up window is "MsgValue"
