Marcjan Diamond Member Joined: 4/22/2010 Last visit: 3/31/2025 Posts: 5697 Rating: (716)	This morning i deleted a protool project on purpose because of this topic /tf/WW/en/Posts/60571#top After deleting the protool file (i don't think it's a file but a shortcut) in step 7 the protool file was still in the project file when opened with explorer, In your step7 directory is a S7proj folder, choose there your project, open it with explorer, there is a directory TDOP, there if you are lucky is your protool file Regards, Marcjan

Normally I delete using explorer and would then be able to recover from the Recycle Bin but this time I used the Step7 software delete and it is gone forever. I have tried to upload from the HMI i.e. TP270 6" but it is looking pdz file - is there a forum link to this problem? Thanks again

Thanks again The moral of the story is pointed out by Hans Berger in section 2.1.4 of Automating with STEP7 in STL and SCL! Please note that you can not undo deletion of an object or an object container in the SIMATIC Manager.

Aret Posts: 2348 Rating: (265)	I use R-Studio tool for undeletion - can recommend although mine is quite old. You need *.pdb files first of all stored in TDOP folder as mentioned above. BUT if you delete all contents inside ProTool project and save it - then you can't undelete it any way.
