I have probelm when I restart the CPUs that they do not get started even when I make complete cold start. Only I am able to start when I make hardware download. Can anybody help me with this problem!! Thanks

Aret Posts: 2348 Rating: (265)	First i can share my experience - such problem can appear when you perform first restart. For first restart we use following procedure: Download HW-Konfig in stop mode Turn mode selection keys on both CPU simultaneously After that - if you download for example program to flash to 1st CPU it stops (2nd one goes to standby mode), after restarting 1st CPU both go to RUN mode - everything is ok. Now regarding your situation i must ask a few questions how do you perform stop and restart? What for do you need stopping? Is there any message in diagnostic buffer with request for warm restart?

After burrniing a new EPROM system automatically takes the CPU to STOP and then try to restart but it fails. Then I try the above procedure. Is there any message in diagnostic buffer with request for warm restart? Nothing in the diagnostic buffer because before Hardware download I switch off power and remove Battery. Aret Posts: 2348 Rating: (265)	Ok, can you try following: 0) Switch on systems, both CPU in stop mode. Batteries inserted, battery switch in proper position. 1) Save and compile HW konfig. 2) Download HW Konfig 3) Download both CPUs via Download user program to memory card. 4) Turn power supply off 5) Turn keys into RUN 6) Turn power on. If now everything is ok - try to download to FLASH from RUN mode (i did it, it's normal practice - on downloading both CPU go to stop mode, after download - restart). In case of fail please post your actions and corresponding diag buffers here.
