powering a 331-7NF00-0AB0

Jim888 Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	OK, newbie to S7 and have what I beleive is an easy question. :) Does the 331-7NF00-0AB0 require 24VDC to function properly? I have had voltage and mA readings by watching the MONITOR in my Step 7 Lite, but the 331 SF is still RED, though after I took out the OB82 interupt from the module parameter there is NO SF red light on the 314 cpu anymore, but it REMAINS on the 7NF00. If I need to supply 24VDC to the 7NF00, which terminals? L+ at 1, 21, 11, 31 M at 10,30,20 and 40? Thanks, Jim Attachment IMG00587-20101031-1336.jpg (234 Downloads)

Jim888 Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	Thanks for the helpful answer. I have disabled all other channel groups in Step 7 and downloaded the HW config to the 7NF00 except channel group 0. Since I am only using the volatge measurement right now on channel group 0 , then I should have ashunt resistor connecting terminal 2 to 3? What value of resistor should I use? Thank you

ELSAVAN Posts: 24 Rating: (0)	Hello jim888 read the exerpt again, I think shunt resistor is just used to change current to voltage and voltage is fed to terminals 22, 23. you do not need using shunt resistor, I think misundrestanding is because of lack of "," in this sentence and wrong grammar!
