PRADEEP PRABHU B Posts: 32 Rating: (1)	Dear All I need information regarding communication of RS 232 protocall I need to communicate between 1si ascii with mlpf no 6es7 138-4df01-0ab0 with pc to send and recieve barcod data. As there is no rs232 connector port in above module , can i hardwire it to module... also need some configuration help on thing? dchartier Grandmaster-Expert Joined: 9/27/2006 Last visit: 1/20/2026 Posts: 12481 Rating: (2722)	Hello Pradeep; As you can see in the following Product support page for your 1SI module, it does support RS-232 connections, even though there is no Sub-D 9-pin connector as on a computer. Open the different manuals available (look also in the Entries tab) for cable connections ansd setup (yes, you probably will have to build your own cable...). http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/20265787 Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier

Minimally necessary to connect the three wires; Txd - Rxd, Rxd - Txd, and Gnd - Gnd
