Detect CPU type

Krumins Regular Member Joined: 10/11/2010 Last visit: 2/4/2025 Posts: 12 Rating: (0)	Hello all, I have writtenstandard software for use in both S7-300 and WinLC CPU`s. I need to auto detect what system its running on to use the correct ethernet connection in software. Any suggestions?

fritz Diamond Expert Joined: 10/7/2005 Last visit: 1/18/2026 Posts: 3054 Rating: (1062)	Hello Krumins have a look at SFC51, most noteablyits usage with SSL-ID W#16#xy11 and index value of W#16#0001 which will return the CPU's part number (MLFB) as a String inthe data record (SSL-ID W#16#xy11 and associated indexes may also interest you though).
