Ayhan Mehmed Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	Hello, I am student in Technical University of Varna and I'm trying to set the factory settings of Micromaster 420 with the BOB panel. First I changed the parameter P0003 = 3 (expert mode) and the I tried to change parameter P0010 from 0 to 30 and the parameter P0970 to 1 but it is not possible. Actually I can't change most of the parameters. Can anybody tell me how to solve this problem. Thanks in advance :)

Ayhan Mehmed Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	Hello Ayman Elotaify, I read the link which you gave me. There, they have written that the problem is that the drive is on runing state r0002 = 4 ( Drive running). But in our MM420 r0002 is = 1 (Drive ready). Today I read for the three - coloured LED display which is orange colour (not blinkink) which mean "Communication link to inverter and connection to PROFIBUS have been established, but no cyclical data exchange is taking place." I thing that this parameter p0700 which is = 4 is not correct but i can't change it... Thank's for the help :)

Ayman Elotaify Diamond Expert Joined: 5/28/2008 Last visit: 1/21/2026 Posts: 4522 Rating: (843)	Hello Ayhan Mohammed, To control MM4 via profibus communication, you have to set P0700 = 6 & P1000 = 6 and do not forget to set the dip switches on the profibus module to match the HW configuration address of the drive. To change P0700 or reset the drive to factory setting, the drive should not have an enable signal. I suggest to diconnect all I/Os from its terminals or power off the PLC to be sure that there is no signals comes to the drive. I can not tell which signal block resetting the drive as it need to view some parameters to tell. If you made factory reset successfully, then go with quick commissioning wizard, and end it using P3900. Please let us informed if it solve your problem. Hope this helps.
