Ayman Elotaify Diamond Expert Joined: 5/28/2008 Last visit: 1/22/2026 Posts: 4522 Rating: (843)	Amin_hormozal in a private message I have two micromaster440 2.2kw for cross travel on crane,recently when I want move trolley after travel a short distance F0002 appears on one of them mostly when travel at one direction.These drives have brake resistor,too.I increased the ramp down(P1121) and OFF3(P1135) but fault occurs yet. What should I do?... Dear Amin_hormozal, Please see the cause and remedy of F0002 as per the MM440 manual: MM440 Manual F0002 OverVoltage STOP II ... Cause - DC-link voltage (r0026) exceeds the overvoltage threshold (refer to parameter r0026) - Ground fault NOTE Overvoltage can be caused either by too high main supply voltage or if motor is in regenerative mode. Regenerative mode can be cause by fast ramp downs or if the motor is driven from an active load. Diagnosis & Remedy Check the following: - Supply voltage (P0210) must lie within limits indicated on rating plate . - DC-link voltage controller must be enabled (P1240) and parameterized properly. - Extend the deceleration ramps (ramp-down time P1121, P1135) - Remove the ground fault - Required braking power must lie within specified limits. - Check the feeder cable to the braking resistor - Check the technical data of the braking resistor - Check the load duty cycle of the braking resistor with reference to the application Hope this helps.

MICROMASTER: Engineering and Commissioning of an Hoisting Gear http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/22318072 Note: It is very strange to set up a cranes application using a MICROMASTER. I suggest using a SINAMICS S120.

JensS Posts: 739 Rating: (55)	MM4 is not designed for this kind of application. You can use it but you have to set up the inverter very carefully, e.g. you need to know the motor model data like xs / rs (if you do the setup by using the „automatic set up“ you may get problems) and further more. Pls read the application note (link in my first answer) carefully and you will understand.
