Real to integer

Kolma Posts: 57 Rating: (1)	Hello! I'm not a pro in programming and I have problem with data types. In program I'm using same result from analogue measurement once in real and once in integer. I'm doing comparison. But I don't know how to transform one real number (419.7 in DB10.DBD44) into integer (4197 DB10.DBW2). Each way I try I'm getting some big numbers. Please help, Kolma

Wizard Diamond Member Joined: 4/24/2006 Last visit: 1/16/2026 Posts: 9105 Rating: (1204)	Hi Kolma, Perhaps You can use the following: Use MUL_R to multiple your Real with 10.0 and save it in MD40 Then use ROUND to convert your Real (md40)to a DINT (md60) Then you have mw60 and mw62. Where mw62 is your value!! This only works when the numbers aren't too big. Best regards, Wizard
