Call FC with inputs not transferring

Milan_Chamling Posts: 14 Rating: (0)	Dear All, I have a project where I call a FC10 with inputs assignment. On the call FC10block (from FC9)i can see that the data are feed correctly but when I monitor the Called block FC10, all the values are 0. This was working fine before this happened. I deleted the call statement and rewrote the same call statement again and it worked. Two days later same problem. I did the same thing and it worked again. I am confused. Any experts out there who can help? Thanks. Regards Milan

Milan_Chamling Posts: 14 Rating: (0)	Hi Marcjan, FC10 calling FB2. In FC10 call FB2 has all the inputs with values but when I look into FB2 this values all becomes zero. It happens only once in a while, other times its working fine, FB2 is called from 20 locations, continously. FC10 calls FB2 only when required. FB2 I have attached in another reply. Dear Milan_Chamling, It is also appropriate to see the call structure of your program to check where actually FC10 called.As you utilized FB41 and FB43 as they require cyclic execution .It is also important to match "#cycle" variables with cyclic execution time of corresponding OB3X (In your case it seems majority of parameters are set to default). The best way to check functionality of FB2 is simply checking data stored in instance data block in each call.In case you illustrated check stored data in DB70. Best regards, Hamid Hosseini

If notthe FAQ below may be the answer to your problem: How can you monitor a block with the desired call environment in STEP 7? I hope this helps

Thanks and Regards Milan Dear Milan_Chamling, You are right , the controlling function block you have utilized in your program require cycle execution.Simply call high level FC in cyclic interrupt OBs.Also please note "CYCLE" parameter of "FB41" and "FB43" should be same as interval between 2 sucessive execution of OB3X. CYCLE TIME >= 1 ms T#1s The time between the block calls must be constant. The "sampling time" input specifies the time between block calls. Best regards, Hamid Hosseini
