S7-400H/F/FH http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/25909684 So yes, you can use F-programming blocks and F-modules with this CPU. sunn7 Posts: 152 Rating: (2)	hi dchartier the H suffix is for fault tolerant F suffix for fail safe. if this CPU has Fault-tolerant adn fail safe then it must have HF suffix. so i was looking for HF, i could not find any that made me confused. anyway i am ok as it can be used, but wonder why name is confusing thanks sun

This is programmed with F-Systems and CFC, so you need the F-library from F-Systems and have to program it with CFC. With two H-CPUs you will have a Faultredundant Failsafe FH-System!! You can then build up also the Failsafe I/O redundant if you want that, that is also possible with one FH-CPU. This will be fully supported from the H-CPU. When you never worked with CFC/F-Systems you will need some help from Siemens to start, that will help you to work easy with the system.
