op 77b communication with pc

SUSHI Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	hey friends, i am using win cc flexible 2008 sp2, to transfer, and update os of op 77b, using mpi-bus cable, comunication is beng setup but after some time communication stops, frist image.img file is being transfered and then flashfilesystem.ffs is being transfered, im using 187.5kbps speed should i increase? what the maximum avaiable for mpi and op 77b

Marko Bursic Posts: 1410 Rating: (154)	I made several OP77B, but I am aware to tell you bad news, you will need RS232 to MPI to download newfirmware into panel. When we bought wincc flex, Siemens rapresentative sold us also this cable serial to MPI that I wasn't using until I got panels with newer firmware than winccflex. I tried to downgrade panel firmware with USB/MPI cable and then stopped in middle. I called Siemens and they told me that we already purchased RS232/MPI cable and it is possible to downgrade via that cable. After spending couples of hours finding right jumper setting on cable and panel, I downgraded firmware. But I made it only once, next step was upgrading winccflex with newer version, much simpler.
