PID control configuring parameters

So I need some kind of guide, or tutorial how to regulate temperature with this control. How to set the parameters? When configurin I need to do tuning to find right parameters just first time. After that user can set setpoint value from HMI? How many PID loops in program can be placed? (I read on forum that that depends of CPU memory) Description of problem: System have 12 Pt sensor.I need to read values from senzor with SM 1231 RTD, and do PI regulation of temperature.
