Hi All,
I have a application which want to send data to PLC and receive data from PLC.I do not have much idea on step-7.I have created a step -7 project.With my application for short,Long and Real data type i am able to send/recieve data to/from PLC and it is working fine.But I need to check it for char/string also.I modified the step-7 program for char datatype but while running and trying to send the data I am getting 16#80a1 error(communication error) in FB1->Receive.I think my program in step-7 it is giving the error.I am attaching the project here.Please advice what to be modified in the step-7 program to achive this scenario,how to check for string also in PLC.

Also I need an information that is unicode string supported in PLC?
If you have any sample step-7 project for char/string please upload it.It will be very helpful
