Hi guys:

I need tomove at the start of my program all inputs (bits, bytes, words or Dwors it´s not important) to M memory zone, i.e. copy I0.0 to M0.0, I0.1 to M0.1 and so on...

What do you think about the better way to do this (less instructions in case of the higher number of physical inputs on the i.e CPU 1214).

Imagine that you´ve got a desk with a certain number of buttons (mechanical contacts), and, in other place you have an HMI, I was wondering if in the case of a local (desk)/remote driving should be better made my program without contacts with input directions, only working with marks (M memory), then made an FC passing all inputs to the certain M bits, and put it on Main Block with an AND contact that activate the FC. If I run the FC I move all inputs to the memory zone, the application is in "local (desk) mode" and the operator have the control. If not all the desk buttons are disconected. Also if i program a button in HMI with an Input direction, and the button says ON, at the start of the next cycle the procces input willhave ,maybe, other state, then, I just wonder if maybe is better do this (one contact before the FC)than put a lot of instructions (NC contacts) in every segment that I have an Input contact (for, i.e., disconnect the "manual" or "desk mode").

I just wondering...In any casesorry, because my English is notquite good, I hope I was a little bit clear for you understand the situation. I´m so pleased as always to read your opinnions about it.
