Problem with CPU412-2 PN on Step7 v5.5+SP1

heralic Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Hi, I have a project created with STEP7 5.5+HF4 and it contains CPU 412-2EK06-0AB0. Now I want to open it on a different computer that has a newer version STEP7 5.5 + SP1 installed, but I get an error "HW-Update : older version or not fully installed". This is because there is no CPU 412-2EK06-0AB0 in my hardware catalog in STEP7 5.5+SP1. I tried HW updates but no success, then I downloaded the GSD for this CPU but it's still not working because it puts CPU412-2 under "Additional field devices" in my hardware catalog and I can't use it to open this project. Also I tried to copy GSD files from the computer with STEP7 HF4 version but still no success. Can I open this project without having to reinstall the whole software ? (can't install STEP7 5.5 HF4 over STEP 5.5 SP1) Can't understand how I can't open a project created with an older version on a newer version of STEP7... Best regards, Damir.

heralic Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	I figured it out, when I upgraded from STEP7 v5.4 SP5 to STEP7 5.5 SP1 somehow CPU412-2 PN "got lost". After a clean install of STEP7 5.5 SP1 everything is OK, I can open the project and CPU412-2 PN is in my hardware catalog. Weird stuff.
