Is Sinamics SLM can be use in 250Kw Masterdrive (chasis type) as a rectifier module???

bsrchandru Posts: 24 Rating: (0)	Dear all, We are in the using of 250Kw masterdrive(VC) in crane application in copper smelter.Our drive is not a AFE rectifier and it not having the regenerative option.Our DBUs are failling frequently. I am having the doubt,Whether Sinamics SLM can be used for as a rectifier instead of our existing thyristor,TDB card,precharging resistor,capacitor,mainly DBU and DBR? Itn that is i can use CU 320 for rectifier and electronic box with CUVC for controlling the inverter, So that i can come out from the problem related with DBU as well as i can save the power via regeneration option.anybody Pl tell me about this idea whetherit will practically possibleor not!!!

bsrchandru Posts: 24 Rating: (0)	Thanks Mr.Graeme, We have one more problem in the same materdrive(250Kw).if any one of the input fuse in the drive fails.in the idle state the DC bus voltage could not below 380V and not more than 490V.In this situation our drive is not tripping on undervoltage and main thyristors also not getting fired.Due to this our precharging circuit is continously in the line and precharging bridge rectifier and precharging resistors get burned. For avoid this problem,Can we include addtional contactor in between TDB card and the precharging resistors. This contactor should operate such a way that when over our main contactor gets on same time this contactor also should get on and it should switch off after (say 600ms) timing programed in the PLC? if it is not feasible pls suggest a alternative soultion to come out from this problem.
