Mothilal Posts: 165 Rating: (25)	Hello experts I need the manual for the following drives... 6SE7018-0EP60 (ENGLISH)siemens VC drive and 6SE7021-0EP50Z. (ENGLISH) In our machine we are going to replace the drive (6SE7018-OEP60) by new one (6SE7021-0EP50Z). After replacement, What are the parameters need to be changed in 6SE7021-0EP50Z drive? This is also VC drive. I want to replace the old drive by new one. So I have uploaded the program from the old drive using DriveMonitor.. If I download the same program in the new drive, will the drive work well? or should I do any changes in the program? Pls clarify me... Thank you Regards Mothilal

Please CLARIFY, does your old drive have a CUVC card in it 6se7090-0xx84-0ab0? Please CLARIFY, does your new drive have a CUVC card in it - 6se7090-0xx84-0ab0? I assumed (And I really must stop doing that) that the reason for the question was because the old drive 6SE7018-OEP60 (Which is a VC drive) and the new drive 6SE7021-0EP50 (WHICH IS NOT A VC DRIVE, IT IS ACTUALLY AN MC DRIVE) had their original supplied cards in. Now what makes the VC drive a VC drive, and what makes the MC drive an MC drive depends purely on which CU card is plugged in. The drive hardware is identical except for power rating.Nothing else matters. If both drives have a CUVC card in, then NO PROBLEM. In your case Parameter P70 changes from 9 to 11.

Now the old drive is ok.. So I decided to run the machine with the same VC drive. Thanks for ur cooperation....!!!! Regards Mothilal
