problem in wincc regarding data read/write from network of energy meters using of almindinger modbus RTU protocol

There are two type of energy meters likw New & old model. Now the meter communications are estabilished,butthe fetching data isslow.when i add new and old meter on same port it will take very long time there is anyway to read fast ?? i want 10s to read time is it possible ?? old meter start address is 30001 new meter start address is 40001 speed :4800 kbps im using wincc v 7.0 sp2. Can any bodylet me know regarding this. thanks Murali

It turned out the modbus protocol used by Crompton was not completely written following the modbus rules. There wasn't a real solution for that problem, it was a (big) limitation of those Cromptons. I would suggest to check your energy meter modbus communication manual or contact the supplier of those meters to ask more info. Brgds
