Currently we are using Step-7 V 5.5 but it is working OK for all other PLCs. I have used MPI interface to upload the Backup. Hello SolutionFinder, One More Step can you Do, Create the New Project & Try to Upload Station To PG, if you have Same problem During this, then we have to See or need to contact Siemens with this Specific Problem.

Nicky123 Posts: 59 Rating: (2)	Dear Solutionfinder, You can check the MMC of the PLC once you get the shut down of the system or insert the new MMC & download the whole project. Because I have also faced the same problem & from that I found that the MMC was corrupted & installed the new MMC & it was working fine with all uploads. Sometimes it may happen that CPU goes to SF because of MMC. So please check it out.

Because client has told me that they have changed one MMC because of communication problem to PC & after changing that MMC the machine was working fine. I think that may be problem again. I have to check it during shutdown.

I have to check it during shutdown. Maybe a little bit OFT, but can you tell me how old was the MMC card ? I'm asking because I face MMC card problems more frequently: MMC damaged, MMC deleted and so on. I have suspections about newly made MMC cards, so its very interesting how old was the MMC you're talking about. If I'm not wrong Siemens gives 10 years warranty for MMC cards.

It's not a warranty in a general way, but as it is stated in the technical specifications of the S7-3xx family controlled it is 10 year of data retentivity after last programming action. Please download this SIMATIC S7-300 CPU 31xC and CPU 31x: Technical specifications then open any CPU's technical specifications and you will see Minimum data retention on the Micro Memory Card (after the last programming action) is 10 years. What you mean about 1 year warranty, yes it depends on the particular country's law. For example, in Lithuania, seller should provide 2 year warranty on any electronic product even if manufaturer gives less that 2 year. This is only for home electronics and not applicable for automation equipment.
